POETRY: TODAY IS NEW

sitting in stillness
as morning dew cascades 

IN the direction of change

SLOWLY BREATHING LIFE INTO LUNGS

used to chaos

obstruct no more,

mindful,

as birds sing melodies of joy

warmth permeates the air

her freshly showered mists

hang delicately above

waiting for my emergence to drop

droplets of love

OBSTRUCT NO MORE,

MINDFUL,

as birds sing melodies of joy

WIND, WIND

DON'T GO AWAY

YOUR AURA IS LOUD

INTENT ON GRACEFULLY LIFTING

HEAT FROM THE EARTH

& PASSING IT AROUND

SPINNING ABOUT 

NEW ENERGY,

NEW GROUND...

A DAY OF NEW BEGINNINGS 

UNFOLDING BEFORE MY EYES

I TRY NOT TO BLINK

BUT, 

I WILL CRY..

& laugh or scream

WHILE MY SMILE HIGH-BEAMS

in the REFLECTION OF THE SUN
